About me

I’m a hobbyist photographer based in Rustington, West Sussex, with a particular passion for bird photography. For me, photographing birds is more than a pastime—it’s a way to slow down, observe closely, and connect with the natural world. I am endlessly fascinated by their behaviour, movement, and the fleeting moments that reveal their character. I like to craft my skills with bird photography, constantly learning and refining techniques to capture these elusive subjects with patience and respect. Early mornings, quiet locations, and changing light are all part of the experience I treasure.

I work exclusively with Nikon equipment, chosen for its reliability, sharp optics, and consistent performance in challenging outdoor conditions. Whether photographing birds in flight or capturing fine feather detail in soft light, my Nikon gear allows me to focus on the subject and the moment, confident in the results it produces.

I am a member of both the RSPB and Littlehampton Camera Club, where sharing images, exchanging ideas, and learning from fellow photographers continually inspires me. My favourite locations are Pulborough RSPB and Rustington Beach in West Sussex, whose rich habitats, diverse birdlife, and ever-changing conditions provide endless inspiration.

My 2026 ambition is to visit RSPB Bempton Cliffs in North Yorkshire, famous for its dramatic chalk cliffs and enormous seabird colonies. I am particularly excited to photograph puffins, gannets, and guillemots as they nest, soar, and interact in their natural habitat, and I also hope to capture the elusive buzzard, a bird that challenges even experienced photographers. Additionally, I plan to visit the Farne Islands in Northumberland, another iconic seabird destination. Through my photography, I aim to tell quiet stories of beauty, resilience, and the natural world we are privileged to witness.
